The documentary, which airs over two Sundays on HBO, features no exclusive interviews with Woods. Instead, co-directors Matt Hamachek and Matthew Heineman relied on thousands of hours of archival footage and interviews with over two dozen subjects, including Tiger’s kindergarten teacher, high school girlfriend, and former caddie. The documentary explores the complex relationship between Tiger and his father, who was instrumental in bolstering Tiger’s mental strength but also made mistakes that strained their bond.
